You can initiate the DEPLOY process on any of the following BMC AMI OpsA views:

  • PASDEF
  • RULESET
  • RULES

Example-of-manually-deploying-a-Rule-Set

Use deployment to copy Rules, Rule Sets, or PASDefs definitions to a different local BMC AMI OpsA registry or, to send the definitions to a different AOPlex via CAS-to-CAS communications.

To deploy Rules, Rule Sets, or PASDefs definitions

  1. Use the DEPLOY primary command with TAG (T) line command to copy (deploy) Rules, Rule Sets, or PASDefs to another AOPlex.

    The DEPLOY command invokes a series of dialogs that sends the items to another target (typically another AOPlex) without requiring you to export and import the Rules registry to another CAS.
     
  2. Enter values for the deployment in the Deployment dialogs. For more information, see Example-of-manually-deploying-a-Rule-Set.

To deploy Rules, Rule Sets or PASDefs from MainView Explorer or the BMC AMI Ops User Interface, use the Deploy selected rule/ruleset/PASDef option from the Line action drop down on the following views:

  • RULES
  • RULESET
  • RIRSET
  • CIRSET
  • PASDEF
  • RIPASD.
