Event replay limitations

When you select an event to replay, certain environment-related data that is sometimes used as Rule selection criteria will have different values during the replay.

The table below shows the data elements criteria that might have different values.

As a result, some Rule variables might contain values that are different from the values from when the original event occurred. If these variables are used on the Selection Criteria (S1) panel, Variable Dependencies (SV) panel or on the Advanced Variable Dependencies (ASV) panel, this can prevent the original Rule from firing. The following table shows a list of the variables that might have different values during the event replay.

For all event types (except the MQS event type), the actions for the Rules that are fired during the event replay are completed exactly as if the Rule was fired with the original event. For MQS events, Rules actions are not executed because of limitations in the amount of data that can be captured when the original event occurs.

For the ALRT event type, any BiiZ-related data that was associated with the original ALRT event is not present for the Rule or for Rules actions (including scheduling EXECs) when the ALRT event is replayed.

BRC event types are not eligible for event replay.
