What has changed about EXECs in BMC AMI Ops Automation version 8.4


This version has added or modified the following EXEC commands; for more information, see the Using-advanced-automation-with-BMC-AMI-Ops-Automation.

New IMFEXEC CICS keywords

The following IMFEXEC CICS ALTER and IMFEXEC CICS PERFORM commands are updated to support versions 6.1 and 6.2 of IBM CICS

  • ALTER SYSTEM SDTMEMLIIMIT
  • ALTER TASK SRRSTATUS
  • ALTER JVMSERVER
  • ALTER JVMENDPOINT
  • PERFORM JVMSERVER
  • PERFORM JVMSERVER STACKTRACE

Improved default EXEC priority setting

You can specify a default priority setting for EXECs (in addition to HIGH) in BBPARM member AAOEXPxx with the optional PRI keyword. You can now specify one of the following default execution priorities:

  • FIRST
  • HIGH (default)
  • HOT
  • SINGLE
  • XSINGLE

Increased the value of the COUNT keyword

When you specify both the COUNT and STEM keywords with the IMFEXEC CMD TYPE(IMP) command in a BMC AMI OpsA EXEC, the value of the COUNT keyword can now support up to 999999 lines of returned text.  For more information, see CMD Type(IMP) — Issue IMSPlex commands ​​​​.
