Layering

Layering is a powerful tool that you can use to quickly and easily generate objects and sets for multiple systems and sysplexes. However, using layering requires that you define several types of items (such as sysplexes and systems) in a specific order. Defining each of these items also requires using its own dialog box.

Best practice
To avoid errors while layering, we recommend that you use the Layering Wizard, which simplifies the process by providing a simple step-by-step dialog.

To use the Layering Wizard, issue the LAYERING primary command from any TOM view. Alternatively, you can use the Layering Wizard hyperlink on the EZTLAYR menu. The wizard guides you through each of the required steps from start to finish.
