Using BMC AMI Ops Automation Access NV
This section introduces the
BMC AMI Ops Automation Access NV
product option.
BMC AMI Ops Automation Access NV bridges the functional gap between the IBM NetView product and the BMC AMI Ops Automation product. BMC AMI Ops Automation Access NV builds a pipeline that provides direct communication between NetView and BMC AMI OpsA which means that NetView and BMC AMI OpsA can send, retrieve, and act upon information between them.
The pipeline is structured in two major areas:
- An automation pipeline that provides interaction and exchange between NetView and BMC AMI OpsA variables and automation procedures
- A user-interface pipeline that is a NetView emulator in BMC AMI OpsA
The emulator enables you to access line mode commands. NetView access can be from a TSO, ISPF, VTAM, or EXCP terminal session.
BMC AMI Ops Automation Access NV also provides the following types of events to the Rule Processor for automation:
- NetView command events (NVC)
- NetView messages events (NVM)
See Using-Rules-with-BMC-AMI-Ops-Automation for more information.
