Updating MCELL_HOME

Use the following procedure to update the MCELL_HOME system variable for the current session.

The MCELL_HOME system variable contains the home directory of the cells and is used to perform actions on the cells. You can update the path so that the BEM Utility uses the direct path to the directory.

Warning

Note

If you have not set your MCELL_HOME environment variable, BMC recommends that you set it as soon as possible.

To update MCELL_HOME

  1. From the Actions menu, select Administration > Update MCELL_HOME.
    The Update MCELL_HOME dialog is displayed:

  2. Enter a new MCELL_HOME path and click Done.

    Warning

    Note

    The MCELL_HOME path is defined at installation.
