Creating additional calendar entries


The following sections show how to create different calendar entries.

To add a calendar entry to a calendar definition base

  1. On the TDEFBS view, place your cursor on the Calendar Base Name which has the value of 'Yes' in the Edit column to which you want to add an entry and press Enter.

    The TCALENT view is displayed

  2. On the COMMAND line, type ADD and press Enter.
    The Calendar Entry dialog begins with the Specify Calendar Entry Name and Type step.
  3. In the Entry name field, type the 1 to 20-character name for the new entry.
  4. In the Entry type field, select the calendar type that you want to add.

To add a day entry

  1. After entering a name for the day type, type Next on the COMMAND line to define Calendar DAY type entry.
  2. From the list of available days, type S next to the day(s) that you want to select.
  3. Press PF3 or type END and press Enter to save and exit.

To add a period entry

  1. After entering a name for the period type, type Next on the COMMAND line to define Calendar PERIOD type entry.
  2. In the From Date and From Time fields, enter the date (use yyyy/mm/dd format) and time (use hh:mm format) for the beginning of the period of time.
  3. In the To Date and To Time fields, enter the date (use yyyy/mm/dd format or the specified format for your BMC AMI Opssession) and time in hh:mm format for the end of the period of time.
  4. Press PF3 or type END and press Enter to save and exit.

To add a time entry

  1. After entering a name for the time type, type Next on the COMMAND line to define the Calendar TIME type entry field.
  2. In the From, enter the time (use hh:mm format) for the beginning of the new time entry.
  3. In the To, enter the time (use hh:mm format) for the end of the new time entry.
  4. Press PF3 or type END and press Enter to save and exit.

To add a set entry

  1. After entering a name for the set type, type Next on the COMMAND line to define Calendar SET type entry.
  2. Enter the line command E to edit the calendar set members.
  3. On the COMMAND line, type ADD and press Enter.
  4. Press PF3 or type END and press Enter to save and exit.
