List of windows mode Automation Reporter views


The table below describes the Automation Reporter views that you can access from the EZAOAR submenu To display a view from the submenu, place the cursor in the column under the view name and press Enter.

Automation Tracking views

Actions

ARACTNS

Shows activity for each of the Rule event types during the last or current interval

The view includes counts of the following occurrences:

  • Total events
  • Events that were handled or suppressed
  • EXECs scheduled
  • ALERTs created
  • Whether the hardcopy log was suppressed

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the name of any event type in the Evnt Type column and press Enter to see a list of all intervals that are included in the summarized view for the event type.

Alerts

ARALRTS

Shows ALERT activity for each of the six ALERT priorities during the last or current interval

The view includes counts of the following occurrences:

  • Active, created, and deleted ALERTs
  • Average age of ALERTs
  • Number of follow-up EXECs scheduled

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the priority name in the Alert Priority column and press Enter to see a list of all intervals that are included in the summarized view for the ALERT priority.

Automation Stats

ARAUTO

Shows the current Rules automation control settings and some automation statistics for the current interval

This view includes information about the Automation Strategy setting, the number of events in the BBI-SS PAS, and other automation specifics that are also displayed on the Rules Processor Automation Control panel.

CPU Time by Program

ARPGMCPU

Shows summary data that reflects the amount of CPU time being used by each program (or TCB) that is currently running in the target PAS

However, if more than one instance of the same program is running as separate TCBs, the accumulated total for all TCBs running the same program is shown.

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the program name in the Program Name column and press Enter to see the detailed interval records that were used to create the summarized data line for the selected program.

Events

AREVNTS

Shows event activity during the last or current interval

The view includes counts of the following occurrences:

  • Event count
  • Handled count
  • Handled percentage

Hyperlink:

  • Place the cursor under the event type and press Enter to see a list of all intervals included in the summarized view for the selected event type.
  • Place the cursor under the message ID and press Enter to see a list of all intervals included in the summarized view for the message ID.

Health Metrics

ARHEALTH

Shows various metrics that can be used to gauge the overall health or status of the BMC AMI Ops Automation PAS

  • The view includes metrics such as:
  • Percent of private storage below the 16MB line that is in use
  • Percent of private storage above the 16MB line that is in use
  • High-water-mark (HWM) of PQEs allocated as a percentage of the MAXPQE value
  • Current number of allocated PQEs as a percentage of the MAXPQE value
  • Number of High Priority EXECs currently queued
  • Number of Normal Priority EXECs currently queued
  • The number of log datasets currently known to the BMC AMI Ops Logger register
  • Rules Engine status
  • BBI-SS Journal status

Hyperlink:

Place the cursor on the SSID value in the view and press Enter to see a list of all intervals that are included in the summarized view.

Resources

ARRES

Shows the use of various system resources during the last or current interval

The following is a partial list of the resources included in this view:

  • Private Storage Above and Below the line
  • CSA/ECSA PQE counts and bytes
  • CSA used for variables
  • CPU seconds used
  • EXCP count

High-Water-Mark values are also recorded and displayed so that you can see peak usages during an interval.

Rules

ARRULES

Shows Rule activity during the last or current interval

This view is tabular and supports one line for each Rule seen by the BBI-SS PAS at the time the record was created. Values included in the view are as follows:

  • Rule name
  • Rule Set name
  • Fired count
  • EXEC name
  • Text ID
  • Text String
  • Groupname, function, and code
  • EXEC name
  • Rule type

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the EXEC name and press Enter to see a list of all intervals included in the summarized view for the Rule.

Ruleset

ARRLSET

Shows statistical information about enabled Rule Set activity during the last or current interval

This view is tabular and supports one line for each Rule Set seen by the BBI-SS PAS. Values included in the view are as follows:

  • Rule Set name
  • Rule count
  • Fired count
  • Filter count
  • Set Enabled Date
  • Set Enabled Time
  • Set Strategy

Hyperlinks:

  • Place the cursor under the Rule Set name and press Enter to see a list of all intervals included in the summarized view for the Rule Set.
  • Place the cursor under the Rule Count and press Enter to see a list of all the Rules in the Rule Set.

TapeSHARE-Local

ARTPSHRL

Shows local TapeSHARE activity during the last or current interval

TapeSHARE-

Plex

ARTPTSHP

Shows TapeSHARE activity for the TapeSHARE plex during the last or current interval

This tabular view has one line for each member of the TapeSHARE plex. Activity between the local TapeSHARE and each member of the TapeSHARE plex is shown.

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the any partner name and press Enter to see a list of all intervals included in the summarized view for that partner.

EXEC Usage views

EXEC Resource Usage

AREXECS

Shows EXEC-based CPU usage during the last or current interval

This view is tabular and supports one line for each EXEC that is seen by the BBI-SS PAS. Values included in the view are as follows:

  • EXEC name
  • Run count
  • Total CPU seconds used
  • Max CPU seconds
  • Abend count
  • Drop count
  • Queued count

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the EXEC name and press Enter to see a list of all intervals included in the summarized view for the EXEC.

EXEC Command History

ARXCMDS

Shows a summary of what type of IMFEXEC and AOEXEC commands were issued from each EXEC thread during a time period

The data is reported under the name of the first EXEC scheduled in an EXEC thread.

Hyperlinks are provided for each command type to display the actual commands that were used.

AOEXEC Command

Shows a summary of the AOEXEC command used by EXECs during the chosen time period

Note

Only EXECs that run in a PAS can have their command history recorded. Information for EXECs that run outside the PAS is not captured.

IMFEXEC General Commands

Shows a summary of the IMFEXEC general commands used by EXECs during the chosen time period

Shows a summary of the IMFEXEC CICS commands used by EXECs during the chosen time period

Shows a summary of the IMFEXEC ARRAY commands used by EXECs during the chosen time period

TOMEXEC Functions

ARXCMDT

Shows a summary of the TOMEXEC functions used by EXECs during the chosen time period

Rules Last Used

ARLURULE

Shows the last time interval that the AR Rules collector detected that the Rule or Rule Set fired

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the Rules field and press Enter to see a list of Rules used.

EXECs Last Used

ARLUEXEC

Shows the last time interval that the AR EXECs collector detected that an EXEC was scheduled.

Hyperlink: Place the cursor under the EXECs field and press Enter to see a list of Rules used.

Combined Rule and EXEC Last Used

ARLUBOTH

Shows the last time interval that either a AR rules collector or AR EXEC collector detected that a Rule or Rule Set fired or an EXEC was scheduled.
