What has changed about Rules in BMC AMI Ops Automation version 8.3

Note

Any Rule that you add or update in this version is only available in this version. You should access them from version 8.3 views. You should ensure that you do not deploy version 8.3 Rules to a PAS that is not running at the version 8.3 level.

Description

Expanded User Notes field

Rules Management Rules support an expanded User Notes field that you can use to document information about a Rule.  If you deploy a version 8.3 Rule that has expanded user notes to a version 8.2 PAS, the expanded user notes information is not displayed or used in version 8.2. If you edit and save that version 8.3 Rule in a version 8.2 PAS, the expanded user notes from version 8.3 are removed. 

Collect Diagnostics (Rules Management Rules only)

The Collect Diagnostics action for a Rules Management Rule is enhanced to allow you to offload a csv file of the data obtained from the view.
