Modifying AAOPRMxx parameter settings

In BBPARM member AAOPRMxx, make the following changes:

  1. Specify the parameter MQEV to include the following values (according to your needs):

    MQEV=Y

    MQEV=Y enables the following instrumentation events: Start/Stop (SRT-STPEV), Local events (LOCALEV), Inhibit events (INHIBTEV), Performance events (PERFMEV), and Remote events (REMOTEEV). If you specify Y, this option should be specified alone.

    MQEV=N enables no event types. If you specify N, this option should be specified alone.

    For any of the following options, specify multiple types without blanks or command; for example: MQEV=SLIP. If you specify both M and X, BMC AMI Ops Automation uses the last value specified.

    • MQEV=S enables Start/Stop instrumentation events (STRSTPEV).
    • MQEV=L enables Local instrumentation events (LOCALEV).
    • MQEV=I enables Inhibit instrumentation events (INHIBTEV).
    • MQEV=P enables Performance instrumentation events (PERFMEV).
    • MQEV=R enables Remote instrumentation events (REMOTEEV).
    • MQEV=F enables Configuration instrumentation events (CONFIGEV).
    • MQEV=M enables Command instrumentation events (CMDEV).
    • MQEV=C enables Channel instrumentation events (CHLEV).
    • MQEV=V enables SSL instrumentation events (SSLEV).
    • MQEV=B enables Bridge instrumentation events (BRIDGEEV).
    • MQEV=X enables non-display Command events (CMDEV(NODISPLAY)).

    The default is MQEV=N.

  2. (optional) Specify the setting for the parameter QALIAS as

    QALIAS=Y

    QALIAS=Y specifies that BMC AMI Ops Automation for MQ should open, and listen for messages on QALIAS type queues.

  3. (optional) Specify the name of an alternate user ID to be used by IBM MQ when performing security for the OPEN and PUT commands as

    MQALTUSER=(user ID)
  4. Update the RULESET parameter to include the AAORULBQ Rule Set suffix BQ; for example:

    RULESET=(BC,CM,BQ)

    This setting ensures that the Rule Set AAORULBQ is enabled when the BBI-SS PAS is cold-started.

    For information about these and other parameters in BBPARM member AAOPRMxx, see Parameters-for-BBPARM-member-AAOPRMxx.
