Displaying CPC consumption statistics for the active policy


Use the following procedure to display the MULTIPLX view, which shows statistics about the CPCs in your multiplex, including:

  • Total 4HRA consumed by all LPARs and groups on a CPC
  • Amount of available MSUs on a CPC 
  • Number of capped LPARs on a CPC
  • Total combined DCs and GCLs of all LPARs and groups on a CPC

To display CPC consumption statistics for the active policy

Use one of the following methods:

  • On EZICAP, hyperlink on MULTIPLEX.
  • Type MULTIPLX on the COMMAND line and press Enter.
  • On POLOVER, hyperlink on a CPCID.

The MULTIPLX view is displayed.

Tip

You can view the LPARs and groups that are running on a specific LPAR by hyperlinking on the CPCID.

The following table describes the fields:

Field

Description

CPCID

The last five digits of the serial number of the CPC

CPC Name

Name of the CPC on which the LPAR is running

CPC Capacity

Defined capacity of the CPC

Combined 4HRA

Sum total of the 4HRA for all LPARs on a CPC

Combined DC|GCLs

Sum total of the defined capacities and group capacity limits for all of the LPARs and groups running on a CPC

#Capped LPARs

Number of capped LPARs in the multiplex

Important

Only LPARs with Cap%>=1 contribute to the  # Capped LPARs value.

CPCMSU

Maximum number of MSUs that iCap can give to the CPC as specified in the policy definition

%CPCMSU

Percentage of the CPC's 4HRA relative to the CPC's CPCMSU limit

Container 4HRA

4HRA for the container MSUs consumed by a CPC and by the entire multiplex

Mobile 4HRA

4HRA of the mobile work on the LPAR

MSU rate of the CPC

iCap uses this value to calculate the absolute capping value of an LPAR or group.
