A serious problem in the BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut product requires immediate attention.

We previously announced this issue. As shown in Resolution, the correcting APAR is now available.

Issue

Failures in job initiation cause the initiator to abend and the address space to terminate with system abend B78 or 0C4 or other failures. The job being initiated is terminated. This issue occurs only in Version 22.4.

Resolution

PTF TMT8104 or APAR TR81013 for PTF TMT8103 resolve the issue and are now available via the cumulative maintenance mechanism.

To download the cumulative maintenance for the product, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate toElectronic Product Distribution - BMC Mainframe and select the BMC AMI DevX tab.

  2. In Order Type, select Cumulative Maintenance, and search for BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut.
  3. Click the BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut 22.4 row.
  4. Select from the Required Dependent Products list and (if applicable) Recommended products list.
  5. Click Done to add the product.
  6. Click Continue to proceed, select the relevant options across the ordering stages, and complete the ordering process.

To view a list of PTFs included in the cumulative maintenance, go toBMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD), locate the required product name and version, and click the PTF text file.
