This section addresses the common installation process for the following editions of BMC ThruPut Manager:
BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut
BMC ThruPut Manager AE+, the Automation Edition Plus
BMC ThruPut Manager SE, the Standard Edition
Though the installation process is similar for the three editions, it is not identical and differences are summarized in an initial checklist as well as pointed out throughout the manual.
As much as possible BMC ThruPut Manager is treated as a “black box” for installation purposes with the installer needing little understanding of what BMC ThruPut Manager is and how it works.

Important
BMC Compuware ThruPut Manager Automation Edition (AE) is renamed as BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut. The Standard Edition (SE) and Automation Edition Plus (AE+) are not renamed and continue to be available only for existing customers.
