Interfacing with z/OS, JES2 and WLM
BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut runs as a started task and a set of JES2 exits. JES2 parameters and parameters for the started task enable BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut to be aware of and tailored to your z/OS and JES2 environment. Interfaces for resource management systems, such as DFSMShsm, are provided. Otherwise z/OS and JES2 continue as usual.
Jobs managed by
BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut
run in one of two dedicated JES2 job classes.
BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut
also uses another dedicated class for analysis (more on this later).
BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut is complementary to Workload Manager and uses its information, as well as that provided by other system components, to understand the performance of the logical and physical processors and to make informed decisions to optimally manage the batch workload.
BMC AMI Ops Automation for Batch ThruPut operates across a JESplex and manages the batch workload on all the members in that JESplex.
