Subsystem command

(SPE2304)

You can use the subsystem command to issue commands to the agent by using the subsystem ID (SSID). The subsystem command interface passes on and runs these commands on the BMC AMI Datastream for z/OS address space. For example, you can request configuration or statistical information and display that information or send it to the SIEM. You can also issue commands to the address space.

The value for SSID must match the agent subsystem ID defined for the AMISSID parameter.

For more information, see: Sample-CZAMIOPS-JCL-for-running-BMC-AMI-Datastream-for-Ops-as-a-started-task.

Important

To enable the subsystem command, you must turn on the SSCmd switch setting in $$$CONFG.

You can use the subsystem command as an alternative to the MODIFY command (F) or the STOP-command (P) to produce the same output by replacing F czagentName or P czagentName with the subsystem ID, as in the following example:

MODIFY command

SSID command

F czagentName $mgr,LIST

SSID $mgr,LIST

F czagentName STATS

SSID STATS
