Working with the Monthly Reporting selection panels



From the MLC Monthly Reporting and the TFP Monthly Reporting selection panels, you can generate MLC and TFP Monthly Summary Reports to view on your screen or export to a PDF file.

To set up and generate an MLC Monthly Summary Report

  1. From the Cost Management console, click the MLC Monthly Reporting tab.
  2. Click msr_panel_selection_arrow.PNG to display the selection panel (if not displayed).

  3. From the selection panel, select the usage month and year from the calendar.
    Only the highlighted months can be selected. A highlighted month indicates that a cost model has been built for that month.
  4. From the Select CPCs list, select one or more CPCs to include in the report.

    Warning

    Note

    If Sysplex pricing is enabled in the Manage CPC Configurations, select all the CPCs in the PricingPlex to generate a report.

  5. Select the output type:
    1. To view the report on your screen, click Output to Screen.
      The MLC Monthly Reporting selection panel closes and the MLC Monthly Summary Report is displayed.
    2. To view the report as a PDF, click Save to PDF.
      A dialog box opens and prompts you to click Save As to save the PDF to your local computer or click Open to view the PDF in a separate browser window.

To set up and generate a TFP Monthly Summary Report

  1. From the Cost Management console, click the TFP Monthly Reporting tab.
  2. Click msr_panel_selection_arrow.PNG to display the selection panel (if not displayed).

  3. From the Select TFP Configuration list, select a configuration to include in the report.

    Warning

    Note

    Configurations created in previous versions will display an invalid iconimage2021-4-29_17-40-27.pngbefore them, and a message saying that you need to update the Distribution Start date.

    To fix an invalid configuration:

    • From the Cost Management Tools, select Manage TFP Configurations.
    • In the Manage TFP Configurations dialog box, select the invalid configuration and click Modify, specify a date and year in the Distribution Start field.
    • Click Modify Configurations, and then click Save Changes.
  4. Select the output type:
    1. To view the report on your screen, click Output to Screen.
      The TFP Monthly Reporting selection panel closes and the TFP Monthly Summary Report is displayed.
    2. To view the report as a PDF, click Save to PDF.
      A dialog box opens and prompts you to click Save As to save the PDF to your local computer or click Open to view the PDF in a separate browser window.


Warning

Note

You can generate multiple MLC and TFP reports for viewing. To add a view click Add View add view.PNGand repeat Step 3 through Step 5.
