Cost Variance by Billing Month quadrant



The Cost Variance by Billing Month quadrant contains a bar chart that displays the cost difference between the budgeted amount and actual or projected cost for every billing month of the contract.

The following table describes the elements of the chart:

Chart Element

Description

Actual cost difference of the billing month

faded green bar.PNG

Projected cost difference of the billing month

Green Bar

Indicates the actual or projected cost was less than the budgeted cost for the billing month

Red Bar

Indicates the actual or projected cost was greater than the budgeted cost for the billing month

Tip

If you want to examine the interval details of the chart, maximize the display of the quadrant using maximize.PNG, and then click on any point in the chart area.

You can hover the mouse over any point or bar on the chart to view the date it occurred.

  • Cost Variance by Billing Month
  • Cost Variance to Date

You can also use Optionsgear icon.PNG to change the display of the chart as follows:

Hyperlinks to the MLC Monthly Summary Report

Each bar of the chart (whether solid or striped) is a hyperlink to the MLC Monthly Summary Report for that billing month. By clicking on the bar, Cost Management opens the Monthly Reporting tool and generates the MLC Monthly Summary Report for that billing month.
