Monitoring Model Builder Tasks
To check the status of all Model Builder Tasks
Click at the top right of the console.
The Model Build Task Status dialog box is displayed;
The following table describes the column headers in this dialog box:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Model Builder Task | Displays the user-defined name assigned to the Model Builder Task |
Current state | Displays the current state of the task |
Last Status | Displays the task status the last time the task ran |
Last Build | Displays the last time the task ran |
Run Now | Provides a link to the Run Task Now dialog box You can select a usage month for the model that you want to build by using the calendar. |
Next Scheduled Build | Indicates the next date and time the task will run |
The following table describes the states in the Model Builder Task Status dialog box and how you can reproduce them:
Icon | State | To reproduce this state |
---|---|---|
![]() | Sleeping or no activity | Run the Windows service when there is no other activity. This is the default state. |
![]() | Windows service is unavailable | Use the Service Control Manager to stop the BMCSCAService firewall. It might take a minute or two for this icon to appear. Remember to start after confirming whether the state is correct. |
![]() | Model Build Task is running | Run any Model Build Task. It might take a minute or two for this icon to appear. Running a Model Builder task for full month of data is usually enough. |
![]() | Build Software Contracts is running | Create a new software contract or modify an existing software contract, and then save the changes, the contracts are processed. |
![]() | Summary build is running | Create a new TFP configuration or modify an existing configuration, and save the changes. The summary build starts running. |
![]() | Task is pending or waiting for other tasks to finish | This state is difficult to produce because the speed at which tasks run. Try running two model build tasks at once: the first runs and the second waits (in pending state). During the transition when the first task ends and before the second task starts, this state might appear in the Orb. |
