Overview of setup tasks


This topic explains the administrative setup tasks required to make the tools functional for all users.

  • Before the MLC Monthly Reporting, MLC Planning, and MLC Software Contract Reporting tools can be used, you need to complete the administration setup tasks described in the following figure:

  • Before the TFP Monthly Reporting tool can be used, you need to complete the administration setup tasks described in the following figure:

You need to add at least one user to a Cost Management Group before you can login and use BMC AMI Cost Management.

BMC AMI Cost Management - BMC Compuware Strobe configuration

In order to set up and use the integration of Cost Management, you must perform the following procedures:

  • Configure the BMC Compuware Strobe web location
  • From a Workloads View in a Monthly Summary report, launch Strobe for a specific LPAR
