Integrating Cost Management with BMC Compuware Strobe

BMC AMI Cost Management can be configured to launch the BMC Compuware Strobe web-based application from any MLC Monthly Summary Report to obtain additional metrics about a selected LPAR and time range. The Strobe metrics offer additional details about CPU consumption and factors contributing to the R4HA peak.

The integration is enabled by the Strobe Configuration tool, which can be accessed from the Administration Tools. Once the configuration is complete, 

Cost Management

 becomes Strobe Aware and provides features and functions in the MLC Monthly Reporting tool to launch the Strobe web-based application and access its information about a specific LPAR during a selected time range.
