Model Build Logs


You can use Model Build Logs to find detailed information about every run of your Model Builder Tasks. You access the Model Build logs by using the Application Log Viewer in the Administration Tools.

The following figure is a sample of the Model Build Logs view. It shows each Model Builder Task in the tree view to the left. Expanding a Task shows a list of all build dates and times.

A marker to the left of Model Builder Task name and the date and time of each run indicates the final status of the run as described in the following table:

Note

The status of the most recent run of the Model Builder Task is indicated by the marker to the left of the Model Builder Task name.

The icon to the right of the task date and time of the run indicates how the task was invoked as described in the following table:

The unknown icon indicates that the Model Build log is from a previous release of BMC AMI Cost Management that did not collect invocation data.

Indicates the task was invoked by executing a Run Task Now

 You can click any of the entries in the list of Model Builder Task runs to display information about that run. The messages display in the viewer as indicated by the following table:

Description of viewer display

Model Builder Task name

Displays a table with the run status, run date and time, number of logs and the Invoker

There is a log for each CPC and a summary log for the entire run.

Task run date and time

Displays a table with the log name, run status, total number of messages and a count of each type of message

CPC name or Summary

Displays a scrollable list of all messages arranged in chronological order from newest to oldest

Summary messages provide general information that applies to each CPC and the entire run.
