Registering the Model Builder Proxy event viewer log

When adding a Cost Management Model Builder Proxy event to a computer on which the BMC AMI Cost Management is not installed,  register the Cost Management Model Builder Proxy in order to allow access to the Windows Event viewer. Typically, this can occur when Automator and Cost Management are installed on different computers.

If you want to run the Cost Management Model Builder Proxy event in Automator on a computer where Cost Management is not installed, complete this procedure before adding the Model Builder Proxy event to the Automator script.

To register the Model Builder Proxy event viewer log

  1. On the computer where you want to run the Model Builder Proxy, open the Command Prompt using Run as administrator.
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files <x86>\BMC Software\SCA2\Services\MBProxyBin>.
  3. At the prompt, type SCAModelBuildProxy.exe /register and press Enter.
This action registers the Model Builder Proxy's event viewer log and enables logging of messages to the event viewer log.

Where to go from here

You should now add the Model Builder Proxy event.  For more information, see Updating-the-Cost-Management-Model-Builder-Proxy-event.
