Defining connections to Capacity Database Web Services servers
You define connections to Capacity Database Web Services servers by adding or modifying CDB Server Profiles. Use the following procedure to manage the CDB Server Profiles that

will use to access data.
To define a connection by adding or modifying a CDB Server profile
- From the Cost Management console, click Administration Tools.The Administration Tools dialog box is displayed.
Click Manage CDB Server Profiles.The Manage CDB Server Profiles dialog box is displayed.
Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new profile, click the Add button.
- To modify an existing CDB Server profile, select the icon of the profile you want to modify from the list, and then click the Modify button.
The Add/Modify CDB Server Profile dialog box is displayed.
Complete each field as follows:

Profile Name
Name for the profile
Profile Description
(Optional) Brief description for the profile
Server Hostname or IP-Address
Host name or IP address of the Capacity Database Web Services server
If the Capacity Database Web Services are installed on the same machine, you can specify localhost.
Port
Port number of the Capacity Database Web Services server
The HTTP default port number is 80.
Virtual Directory
Virtual directory where the Capacity Database Web Services are installed
The default virtual directory is BMCCDB.
- Click Test Connection.Cost Management tests the connection and displays the status in the Connection Status field.
- When the test is finished, perform one of the following actions:
- Click Add Profile to add the profile.
- Click Modify Profile to modify the profile.
To remove a CDB Server profile
- From the list of available CDB Server profiles, select the CDB Server profile you want to remove.
- Click Remove.Cost Management removes the CDB Server profile.
- Click Save Changes to commit the changes to the application server.
