Accessing and working with the Software Cost by Product view
The Software Cost by Product view displays a chart of the actual costs and projected costs for every billing month of the contract and provides you with the ability to view the individual contributions of MLC Products.
To access the Software Cost by Product view
From the Cost by Billing Month chart or the Aggregated Cost by Billing Month chart, click
.
The Software Cost by Product chart is displayed.
The following table describes the elements of the chart:
Chart Element
Description
Solid colors
Actual cost of MLC product for the billing month
Faded colors
Projected cost of the MLC Product for the billing month
Black point
Actual total monthly cost for all MLC Products
Gray point
Projected total monthly cost for all MLC products
- (Optional) From the Product List, select which products to display in the viewer.Use the following options to change the Products displayed in the chart:
- Scroll through the Product List to select individual products to display in the chart.
- Click Select All to select all Products for display in the chart.
- Click Clear All to clear all the selections displayed in the chart.
- (Optional) To assist in the analysis of the chart, you can perform any of the following actions:
- Click on any point in the chart area to view the interval details.
- Use the Show Total Monthly Cost? toggle to show or hide a charting of the total monthly cost across all months of the chart.
- Click and drag between any two points on the chart to zoom in on the selected area and display a histogram of the entire month.
- Hover the mouse over any point on the chart to view the date it occurred.
(Optional) To view alternative chart options, click the toggle dots
to access the following Chart Views:- Products: Cost by Billing Month
- Products: Cost to Date
