Defining the Tomcat roles
The Console Management administrator pages define the following roles for access. These names are case-sensitive.
- IOCADMIN—This role enables the user to access all areas of Console Management configuration. It is equivalent to assigning all three roles (mvcmadmin, linuxadmin, useradmin) to a single user.
- mvcmadmin—This role enables the user to configure and control (start and stop) Console Consolidation and Console Automation servers; to access General Settings - System Information, License Manager, and Saved Configurations. This role does not provide access to Linux (linuxadmin) and User (useradmin) pages.
- linuxadmin—This role enables the user to access Install History, Install Add-On button, the Shutdown or Restart pages, and the General Settings - Server Certificate page. This role does not provide access to MVCM (mvcmadmin) and User (useradmin) pages.
useradmin—This role enables the user to access Authentication Server, create or modify users, and resource assignments. This role does not provide access to General Settings - Administrator Accounts, MVCM (mvcmadmin), and Linux (linuxadmin) pages.
