Use your web browser Refresh function key (e.g. F5 for Internet Explorer and Firefox) to update the statistics on this page. This may also be used in other configuration pages that contain dynamic information.

The following table explains the system information:

System information

Description

Disk usage

This describes the disk usage feature. Here you can monitor the disk space used.

  • Used
  • Free space

The used space will increase over time due to the logging activities of all active server processes.

Note

You should monitor the usage and perform log file maintenance when necessary using the configuration page.

Memory usage

This describes the memory usage feature. Here you can monitor and maintain the memory used.

  • Used
  • Free physical and virtual (swap) memory

Note

If the system is short on memory, the Process information should be used to determine which processes are using the most memory.

Process information

This describes the number of active processes. Clicking the Show Process Info link opens a separate window containing much more detailed statistics including a list of all the active processes.

Server ports

The Server Ports page shows all the TCP/IP server ports that are in use for BMC AMI Console Management.

Note

This information is useful when configuring firewalls to limit network traffic to the server, or when configuring new CCS or Console Automation servers' listening ports.

Clicking the Show Server Ports Info link opens a separate window listing network ports used by the system and services. It highlights in yellow the port usage that may conflict with another service.

Network status

This page describes the network status link. Clicking the Show Network Status link opens a separate window listing the output of a number of networking commands showing current configuration and operational statistics.

Downloading a system snapshot

Click Download System Snapshot. The snapshot is created and compressed. It is saved as Linux archive (.tgz) containing the system information regarding the hardware server.

Note

When opening a Service Cloud case, it is useful to attach the snapshot to the ticket. This information may assist the support personnel in assisting with the issue.

View administrator audit logs

This page describes the view administrator audit logs. Clicking on the View Administrator Audit Logs link will pop up a dialog that lists the current auditlog.csv and any older logs that record BMC AMI Console Management configuration activity.

You can perform the following options:

  • View
  • Download
  • Delete

The logs are standard Comma-Separated Values (CSV) files and may be opened with Excel or another spreadsheet program after being downloaded to your PC.
