Administrator Accounts

Administrator accounts are used to authorize users to login into the configuration pages to configure and control

BMC AMI Console Management

. These accounts are stored locally on the

BMC AMI Console Management

server and are independent of the user accounts defined in the Authentication Server pages for operators to use the

applications that interact with the mainframe.

Roles may be used to limit which configuration pages an administrator may access. The following roles are defined:

Note

By default, administrator credentials are stored in a local file within the Console Management configuration. There is support for authenticating administrator accounts against enterprise user databases such as, Active Directory. Setting this up is a sizable task, see LDAP-Authentication-for-Console-Management-Administrators for details.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
