BMC AMI Capacity Reporting console


BMC AMI Capacity Reporting provides a variety of tools ranging from product administration to the creation of workflows and dashboards.

The following figure illustrates the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting console:

The BMC AMI Capacity Reporting console consists of the following items:

Toolbar menu

The Toolbar menu provides access to the following Administration Tools:

Manage Shift Profiles

Add, remove, or modify Shift profiles and calendar events

Application Log Viewer

View all available Application Server log files

Application Settings

Configure email settings to send email notifications to all dashboard owners and published stakeholders after each nightly process

Important

To access the Toolbar menu, you must be a BMC AMI Capacity Reporting Product Administrator.

The server process status dialog box are as follows: 

Status

Description

Server Process

Displays the name of the server process

The following server processes are monitored:

  • Dashboard Export
  • Nightly Process

If the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting Windows service is not running, you get a message about it, and you have to contact your product administrator for assistance.

When exporting a dashboard, click Server Process Status to see the status of the export.

Similarly, when you run a nightly process, click Server Process Status to see the status of the nightly process.

Current State

Displays one of the following statuses of the server process in use:

  • Running: The process is active and running.
  • Sleeping: The process is inactive and not running.
  • Pending: The process is pending.
  • Submitted: The process has been submitted but is not yet running.

Last Status

Displays the last status of the server process:  

  • Succeeded
  • Failed
  • Never run

Last Executed

Displays the latest time and date when the server process ran

Run Options

Depending on your user role, click My Dashboards or All Dashboards to run a server process directly from the Server Process Status feature.

When running My Dashboards, only your dashboards are exported (if using Dashboard Export) or updated (if using Nightly Process).

When running Dashboard Export, the All Dashboards option exports all dashboards that are configured for export.

When running Nightly Process, the All Dashboards option updates all dashboards with the most recent data.

Availability of this option is based on the following user roles:

User profile

Click your user profile name to access the user profile menu that enables you to perform the following actions:

Click the View link to display your user profile.

The Roles tab displays information about your assigned user roles.

On the Email tab, enter the following details about the recipients of the nightly process email notifications:

  • Email Address: Add the email address of the recipient of the email notifications.
  • Test: Click to check whether the email notification is sent to the recipient.
  • Additional Email Addresses: (Optional) Add the email addresses of the additional recipients of the email notifications.
  • Disable Email Notifications: Select this checkbox if you do not want to send the email notifications to the recipients.
  • Clear Settings: Click to clear the current settings.
  • Save and Close: Click to save the entries and close the dialog box.
