Working with reporting categories

This topic describes how to add a reporting category and select its associated metrics to add to an existing or newly created workflow. You can select one or more categories and metrics to add to your workflow. You can also add multiple instances of the same category in a single view.

For example:

  • To use Service Class Activity twice, select and aggregate two different groups of Service classes and then compare their aggregated KPIs in one View.
  • To use Application Activity twice, first select the Top N Applications, and then aggregate all remaining applications to see what portion of Total Application Resource is consumed by the Top N Applications.
  • To use Application Activity twice, in the first instance select the Top N Applications, then in the second instance aggregate all the applications and compare the portion of Application Resource consumed by the Top N Applications to the Total Application Resource.
  • To use different display options, display an option as an aggregated line and the other group as a stacked column.
For more information, see To add multiple instances of the same category in a single view.
