Changing the chart appearance
To change the chart appearance of a metric
Click the More Actions option corresponding to a category : metric.
All metrics with the same unit value, regardless of the category, appear on the same chart axis and are affected by axis-related changes.
The More Actions includes the following tabs:
The following table describes the tasks that you can perform on the Axis tab:
Purpose | Action |

Turn on or off the axis grid in the chart | Click Show axis grid. By default, the Show axis grid is selected. |
Change the color of the grid | Click Axis Color. From the color picker, change the color of the grid. The color picker shows the recently used colors. In the Recently used section, the currently selected color is indicated with a checkmark. The original color for the axis is the first item to the left of the current axis color, and the recently used colors are displayed to the right. |
Set the minimum value of the axis | Select the Use Minimum Value check box and use the arrow to set the value in the Axis Minimum Value field. |
Set the maximum value of the axis | Select the Use Maximum Value check box and use the arrow to set the value in the Axis Maximum Value field. |
Save the changes | Click Apply to save the changes. |

Purpose | Action |

Make every data point for the current category:metric appear as a bullet point | From the Show value markers menu, select On, Off, or Auto. The default value is Off. Selecting the On option makes every data point for the objects of the current category:metric appear as a bullet point. Selecting the Auto option lets the chart decide when to show the markers. If there are too many data points to show the markers clearly, the chart disables the markers until you zoom in to a point where they can be displayed. To see the data points of a particular section of a chart, click and drag the cursor to select that section. The chart zooms in to show the value markers in that section. To select a marker style for the bullet points, select one of the following options from the Marker Style list: Circle, Square, Diamond, Triangle, or Triangle-down. |
Label the data points | Select Show label markers. All data points for the objects of the current category:metric display the values associated with them. |
Change the chart type at the metric level | Select the relevant chart type from the Series Type list:

Stack all series for a given metric | From the Stack Series list, select one of the following to stack or unstack all series for a given metric:

Stack charts by object or by metric | From the Stack Options, select:

Manage display of total instances value | From the Show total menu, select:
The default is Auto. |
Use Custom Series Label | Select Custom Series Label check box and enter a custom format. Using this option, you can customize your object labels for a metric. It supports special placeholders such as {filter1} to {filterN}, where N is the number of filters in the filter bar for a specific category or metric. Appropriate filter values are used to replace the corresponding filter placeholders and the remaining format string is kept the same. Make sure that the filter placeholders are spelled correctly. For example, if the default label is, ABC\PQR\XYZ\UVW and if you want to apply a custom format such as MyNewLabel: {filter2} - {filter4} then the updated label is MyNewLabel: PQR - UVW. The Templates option lists all formats and the associated views where the format is applied for the given category:metric. You can click any format to apply to your current metric including the original default label format. |
Exclude aggregated filters in series labels | Select Exclude Aggregated Filters in Series Labels check box to exclude the aggregated filters values (Agg) from the series labels. |
Save the changes | Click Apply to save the changes. |
To change the chart appearance for a single object
Click More Actions under the Actions column.
The More Actions panel is displayed.
The following table describes the tasks that you can perform in the More Actions panel:
Purpose | Action |

Change the color of the object | Select the Series Color check box. Use the color picker to change the color of the object. The bullet next to the object changes to the new color. The line, area, or column representing that object also changes to the new color. The color picker displays the recently used colors. The original color for the series is the first item from left, the recently used colors are displayed to the right and the color that is currently in use is marked as checked. |
Make every data point for the current object appear as a bullet point | Select one of the following options from the Show value markers list:

Change marker style | Select one of the following options from the Marker Style list: Circle, Square, Diamond, Triangle, and Triangle-down. The Marker Style is enabled when the Show marker value is set to On or Auto. |
Showing label markers | Select Show label markers. All data points for the current object display the values associated with them. |
Save the changes | Click Apply to save the changes. |
