Updating the CDB Automator script to run the daily processes

After creating the CDB Automator populate event, add a run event to the CDB Automator script to run the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting nightly process and the Dashboard Export tool.

To update the CDB Automator script to run the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting nightly process

  1. Open the CDB Automator script.
  2. Select Edit > Add Event > Run Visualizer Input File Transfer.
  3. Click Browse, navigate to the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\CMM\bin), and select the BMCCMMNightProcess.exe file. 
    Do not make changes to the Arguments field.
  4. Click OK.
    Your script should now look as follows:

  5. Save the script for future use.

(Optional) To update the CDB Automator script to run the Dashboard Export tool

  1. Open the CDB Automator script.
  2. Select Edit > Add Event > Run Visualizer Input File Transfer.
  3. Click Browse, navigate to the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\CMM\bin), and select the DashboardExport.exe file. 
    Do not make changes to the Arguments field.
  4. Click OK.
    Your script should now look as follows:

  5. Save the script for future use.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
