Populating your mainframe data into the Capacity Database Web Services

The Capacity Database Web Services server manages the databases that contain the populated output data from the Mainframe UIE batch job. BMC AMI Capacity Reporting uses the data that has been populated into this database as input to the nightly build process.

To populate your Mainframe data into the Capacity Database Web Services server

  1. Create a new CDB Automator script.
  2. Run the Mainframe UIE batch job.
  3. Populate the output data into this database.

BMC AMI Capacity Reporting then accesses this populated data and uses it as the input to the model build process. For more information, see Creating and scheduling the Automator script.
