Defining shift profiles
Use the following procedure to define and add a shift profile that corresponds to your activity for a typical shift. When you select a shift profile as the current shift profile, the product sends it for Analytics.
To define a shift profile
- From the Administration Tools option, click Manage Shift Profiles.
The profile displaying the black heart icon is the current Analytics Profile. In the Manage Shift Profiles dialog box, click Add to open the Add Shift Profile dialog box.
- In the Add Shift Profile dialog box, enter a profile name and add profile shifts by clicking Add next to Profile Shifts. This adds Profile Shifts for the 'Default' Profile Group.
In the Add Profile Shift dialog box:
- Enter a profile shift name.
- Select a color for the shift from the Profile Shift Color list.
- Click Accept.
- In the Add Shift Profile dialog box, to define the hours in a shift:
- In the Profile Shifts dialog box, select a shift.
- In the grid, select the shift hours. You can select a row, a column, or individual cells in the grid.
To add shift profiles
In the Add Shift Profile dialog box, enter values in each field, as described in the following table:

Profile Name
Specifies a name of the shift profile
Select Template
Displays the previously defined profiles
Profile Group
Identifies either an LPAR or Sysplex as the profile group
To add a profile group, click Add next to Profile Group. Enter the profile group name and select the group profile type. You can add multiple profile groups. When you click Accept, the Profile Shifts grid is cleared so you can enter shifts for this Profile Group.
Profile Group Identifiers
Specify the name of the LPAR or Sysplex based on the Group Profile Type selected in the Add Group Profile dialog box
To add an LPAR or a Sysplex, click Add next to Profile Group Identifiers. Enter the name and click Add. You can add multiple group identifiers.
Click Add Shift Profile.
The profile shift is displayed in the Manage Shift Profiles dialog box.
