Defining shift profiles


Use the following procedure to define a shift profile that corresponds to your activity for a typical shift.

Note

BMCDefaultShiftProfile is the default profile that is shipped with the product.

To define a shift profile

  1. In the application toolbar, click Administration Tools.
  2. In the Administration Tools window, click Manage Shift Profiles.

  3. Click Add to open the Add Shift Profile dialog box.

  4. Add profile shifts by clicking Add next to Profile Shifts field. You can select a color for the shift from the Profile Shift Color option

  5. Click Accept.
  6. To define the hours in a shift, select a shift from the Profile Shifts list box, drag the mouse in the grid to select hours. You can select a row, a column, or individual cell in the grid.

Adding shift profiles

Use the following procedure to add shift profiles.

  1. In the Add Shift Profile dialog box, enter the values for each field, as described in following table:

    Field

    Description

    Profile Name

    Specifies a name of the shift profile

    Select Template

    Displays the previously defined profiles

    Profile Group

    Identifies either an LPAR or Sysplex as the profile group

    To add a profile group, click Add beside Profile Group. Enter the profile group name and select the group profile type. You can add multiple groups.

    Profile Group Identifiers

    Specifies the name of the LPAR or Sysplex that you select as the profile group

    To add an LPAR or a Sysplex, click Add beside Profile Group Identifiers. You can add multiple group identifiers.

  2. Click Add Shift Profile.

    The profile shift is displayed in the Manage Shift Profiles dialog box.




 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
