Overview of the Log Viewer

You can view the log information as follows:

• From the server—View Capacity Database Web Services logs, event log messages, and audit log messages.
• From a device with a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) reader—View Capacity Database Web Services event log messages, if you have enabled an RSS feed.

You can use the Configuration Tool to configure the following logging options:

• Whether event log messages are generated and the severity level
  
• Whether file system log messages are generated and:
  
  • The severity level.
    
  • The periodicity of the log files.
    
  • The location of the logs on the file system.
    
  • The prefix for the log files.
