Overview of BMC Capacity Management Database

This section provides an overview of the BMC Capacity Management Database (BMC CDB) product and its components.

BMC CDB contains BMC AMI Capacity Management data that has been processed and analyzed to provide a shared data repository that any user, application, or process can access. You access the data by using a set of web services to

  • Create, modify, and populate data extensions
  • Extract data for
    • Monitoring
    • Selecting modeling intervals
    • Trending analysis
    • Capacity planning
