System resource utilization
When Data Optimizer determines tuning values, it considers more than control interval (CI) sizes, block sizes, and so on.
At the time of the open request, it evaluates current usage of key system resources such as CPU busy, paging rate, and storage availability, and applies the results to its decision making. This produces highly-tuned application processes that do not compromise overall system performance. You can change the thresholds for these values.
