Optimization processing
After Data Optimizer selects an open request for optimization, it performs the following steps:
- Data Optimizer checks for any circumstances preventing it from executing the request, such as unsupported file types or access methods. For a description of unsupported items, see Implementing-Data-Optimizer and Special-considerations.
- After Data Optimizer verifies that it can perform the optimization process, it determines the type of optimization to perform based on the following criteria:
