Buffer number option
With the Buffer number option, you specify the number of buffers to allocate for a pipe.
Each buffer can contain one data block. This parameter determines the number of data blocks that can be in the pipe at any one time; it does not limit the total quantity of data that passes through the pipe. BMC recommends that you specify a value from 5 to 15. If more than one reader exists and the value in the Reader data option is set to N (for Next, so that each reader gets the next available unread block), the Buffer number value should be set slightly higher.
