Set Reply Mode. A structured field that causes the setting of the inbound reply mode. There are three inbound reply modes: Field Mode (FM), Extended Field Mode (EF), and Character Mode (CM). Each mode causes progressively more information to be returned on read commands. This enables the application program to exploit more of the device capabilities.
