Upload files

When the desired installation and/or maintenance files have been selected and all required fields have been filled in, click the Upload Product Files button to upload the selected files in TSO XMIT format, along with the JCL to perform a TSO RECEIVE of the files.

The upload/installation application uploads the required files to your mainframe. Take note of the data set names at the bottom of the screen (max scroll):

  • The UNLOAD data set contains the JCL to TSO RECEIVE the product files.
  • The UPLDEL data set contains JCL to delete the temporary upload files after successfully receiving the product files.
  • The SMPE.DATA data set contains the saved media browser values.

Important

The BMC EP Setup upload confirmation dialog may include one or more messages indicating the upload status of Common file set n. The upload of Common file set 0 normally includes UNLOAD, UPLDEL, and SMPE.DATA files. Other files may also be uploaded, depending on the design of the EP.
