The SMPNTS (SMP/E Network Temporary Store) is a directory of UNIX system files that are used for temporary storage of network transported packages. The existing HFS or zFS directory must be large enough to handle the products in your order. Information regarding space requirements for various products is provided at Installing-with-Receive-From-Network.
If needed, contact your systems programmer for assistance with z/OS UNIX directories and/or mounting an HFS or zFS file system.
Specify the name of an existing HFS or zFS directory in z/OS UNIX large enough to handle the products in your order. Be sure to include the / (slash) in the beginning and at the end of the path.
This field is limited to 70 characters. If your path is longer, correct the SMPNTS DD in the Receive JCL with the full path (see Step-4-Receive-the-base-code-cumulative-maintenance-and-HOLDDATA).- Press Enter to continue.
