Step 10. Specify target and distribution zone information

The screen shown in the following figure is displayed after you press Enter in the previous step. As in this sample order BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID was the first selected product, the following figure represents BMC AMI DevX Abend-AID. If you selected another product as the first in your order, it will be shown. When additional products are being installed, this screen will be redisplayed for each product in succession. The values from this screen are used in generating the installation JCL.

Specifying target and distribution zone information

The fields are pre-filled based on the product being installed. You can edit the displayed values for HLQs and data set names. The parameters specified here apply only to the product listed near the top of the screen.

The Install Japanese components field displays only if separate Japanese components are provided with the selected product.

1. If you want to make changes to specific data set information, proceed as follows:

   1. To make changes to the SMP/E data set information, type Y in the Edit SMP/E dataset info field and press Enter. The screen shown in the following figure is displayed. The parameters specified here apply only to the data sets listed on the screen.

      Important

      You may need to scroll if the list of data sets is too long to fit on one screen.

2. If you want to install the Japanese components for the selected product, type Y in the Install Japanese components? field. If not, type N (the default).

   Important

   The examples shown in this procedure are based on installing only English language support. If you are installing Japanese components, the same types of input you provide for the English installation will also be required for those components.

3. After making any desired edits on the Specifying target and distribution zone information screen, press Enter to accept the displayed values for the selected product.

Multiple products

After you completed the above steps for the first product, the Specifying target and distribution zone information screen redisplays for the next selected product.

When you complete the above steps for your last selected product, continue with Step-12-Specify-external-files.
