Task 1.2 Install MongoDB

Download MongoDB from https://www.mongodb.com/download-center/community and follow the installation instructions at https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/administration/install-community/.

We recommend installing and configuring MongoDB before installing Topaz for Total Test repository server. See the BMC Compuware Web Products installation documentation appendices for how to install and configure MongoDB.

Tip

If you are installing MongoDB on a different server than CES, remember to change the MongoDB configuration file after the installation so it will listen for requests from outside. By default, it will only listen on requests from localhost. See the MongoDB appendix in the CES installation document for details.

Checklist

Check that you have setup all of the following tasks:

  1.  Installed MongoDB.
  2. Optionally configured authentication and SSL.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
