Submit JCL

Use Submit JCL functionality to submit JCL for processing.

To submit JCL

  1. From the Project Explorer view, right-click the desired component within an ISPW project and select ISPW>Submit JCL. The job is submitted and a dialog box appears stating that the job was successfully submitted.

    Important

    This menu option is only available when the type is associated with the JCL programming language, as defined in the ISPW Maintenance Base Component Table. See the ISPW Technical Reference Guide for details on how to associate a component type with a programming language.

  2. To view the status of a submitted job, use JES Explorer. See the Topaz-Workbench-Host-Explorer-User-Guide for information about JES Explorer.

    Important

    Optionally, set up automated job completion notification, which will notify you of the job's status via a pop-up, the Event History view, or both. See the Topaz-Workbench-Host-Explorer-User-Guide for information about setting up notifications.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
