Event history view
The Event History view displays automated job completion information if you enabled this notification. In addition, previous executions of a copy or move of a dataset from one z/OS host to another or to the same z/OS host can be opened from the Event History view. Refer to Using Event History to View Results or Rerun a Copy or Move.
The Event History view, if not visible, can be opened from the Window menu by selecting Show View>Other>Host Explorer> Event History.
The fields on the Event History view are as follows:
- Date: The date the message was sent.
- Host: The host to which the message was sent.
- Description: A standard JES message about the status of the submitted job.
- Source: The entity that generated the message. This field is disabled by default.
- Topic: The person to whom the message belongs. This message is disabled by default.
To choose columns and column order for the event history view
- On the Event History view, click
. The Event History Column Selection dialog box appears.
- Move columns between the Available columns and Show these columns in this order boxes by clicking Add and Remove. Order the columns you want shown by clicking Move Up or Move Down.
- Click OK to save your changes and exit the dialog box.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
