SonarLint analysis
Topaz Workbench's integration with SonarLint enables developers to rapidly deliver quality COBOL code by providing them with automated on-the-fly quality and standards checking. This integration includes the following functionality:
- To simplify the configuration of SonarLint, Topaz Workbench adds default properties to SonarLint's suffix Scanner Properties.
- If you want to run the SonarLint analyzer in locked mode, you must force the source format in SonarLint to “free”. Perform the following steps to make your source code free:
- Right-click on your project in the Project Explorer > Properties > SonarLint > Analyzer Properties > New.
- Enter the name as sonar.cobol.sourceFormat and enter the value as free.
- Click Apply.
- For online projects, copybooks are automatically downloaded prior to SonarLint analysis if a concatenation list has been configured.
- Topaz Workbench provides a mechanism for pointing SonarLint to the copybook location for online projects (via a concatenation list).
