Setting initial and exit breakpoints
You may set a breakpoint on the first executable statement in a called program without explicitly opening the source code for that program. This is called an initial breakpoint. Optionally, you may also set exit breakpoints for Xpediter/TSO.
To set initial and exit breakpoints
- Select the Open DDIO tab. The CSECTs for the program listed in the Load module field and any linked programs appear in the table.
- In the Open DDIO table, right-click the CSECT name and select the appropriate option:
- To set a breakpoint on the first executable statement of the program, select Set initial breakpoint.
- To set a breakpoint on the exiting statement, select Set initial and exit breakpoints. This option is available for Xpediter/TSO only and requires the Enable Xpediter/TSO exit breakpoints check box on the Xpediter Preferences dialog box to be selected.
