JES_JES explorer view preferences

The columns that appear in the JES Explorer view and the default number of jobs returned from the JES Explorer view are configured using settings in the Preference dialog box.

To access preferences for the JES Explorer Preferences page

  1. From the Window menu, select Preferences. The Preference dialog box appears.
  2. From the navigation panel, select Compuware>JES Explorer. The JES Explorer preference page appears.

To change the default number of jobs to return from the JES Explorer view

The job limit preference lets users limit the number of jobs returned from the JES Explorer view. The default limit is 500.

Important

Specifying job prefix and owner criteria that is too broad can result in long wait times and unmanageable results.

  1. In the JES Explorer Preference page's Limit number of jobs field, type the desired number of jobs.
  2. Optionally, select the Display prompt when number of jobs exceeds the job limit check box to be notified when the number of matching jobs exceeds the number entered. You can then override the job limit threshold and return the complete list of jobs, if desired.
  3. Click OK.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
