Offline_Browsing and editing Compuware mainframe project resources

Once the Compuware mainframe project is set up, you can browse and edit resources. For online projects, browsing and editing resources creates a temporary locally cached copy of the source. For offline projects, resources are already local to the workstation.

Warning

Important

In online projects, on the host icon in Project Explorer indicates that the host is undefined or unreachable. This means that the HCI host for the project could not be connected to or is not currently active. Review the Topaz log for possible connection errors and contact your systems administrator if needed.

Important

Depending on the default editor or the editor selected, if a resource has a file extension that also has a local operating system association, the operating system (rather than Eclipse) may handle opening the resource. For example, if Open with>System Editor is selected for a .doc file, Windows may open the resource in Microsoft Word.

When saved, any edits made to an online project resource are saved to the mainframe.
